Ferneham Hall is one of the premiere entertainment venues in South Hampshire, providing a broad range of music, comedy, theatre and children’s shows to suit all ages.

We are seeking a calm and approachable individual with experience of modern sound, lighting, stage and digital projection equipment.

You will work as part of the technical team ensuring that a top class technical service is provided for Ferneham Hall promotions and events staged by hirers. You will use the state-of-the-art digital audio-visual equipment and professional digital theatre lighting and sound to meet the needs of our customers.

Experience of general maintenance is important to keep the equipment working. You need to be confident and calm under pressure and when dealing with people delivering excellent customer service. You must be able to work with minimal supervision and have a head for working at height.

Weekend and evening work is the norm for this industry and will be required.

Please make it clear if you are interested in the fixed term or a casual work opportunity.

We will require Enhanced DBS checks and a First Aid course will be provided

Do you fancy a career change or are you looking to start a new and exciting opportunity?

Depending on your existing qualifications, you will work towards a Level 3 NVQ in Business Administration whilst carrying out administration tasks associated with Data Protection, Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Regulations. You will also give project support to assist with the ongoing implementation of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.

We are looking for somebody with a sense of pride and commitment to do a good job, a steady, accurate and methodical approach to work, excellent verbal and written communication skills along with tact and diplomacy.

You will be expected to have the equivalent of GCSE standard in English and Maths in addition to excellent ICT skills and the ability to learn new systems. You must be able to use spreadsheets and outlook.

You will work 37 hours per week and this will include working towards your qualification which will be undertaken on a day release basis at Fareham College.

As a Revenues Officer, you will assist in the administration, collection and recovery of Council Tax and Business Rates, dealing with customer queries in a helpful and professional way at all times.

You'll play a full part in a busy team environment where you will assist customers in person, by telephone, letter and email.

You’ll need to be able to work to personal and team deadlines and targets. You’ll need to be accurate, productive and demonstrate excellent customer care and ICT.

Full training will be provided in Council Tax and/or Business Rate legislation if you already excel at admin, customer care and ICT.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday from 08:45 - 17:15.
