Recruitment standards

Fair recruitment

We have a positive approach to equality and inclusion and encourage applications from all sections of our communities.  We aim to ensure that every stage of our recruitment process is carried out fairly and that no applicant is discriminated against. There is a section on the application form for you to outline any particular assistance you may need to help you with the interview process.

Our standards

Applications will not be accepted after the published closing date unless there are exceptional circumstances.  No late applications will be considered after the shortlisting stage. Applications will only be assessed against the requirements of the job details.

Shortlisted applicants will receive details about any testing and the interview and selection process.

If you have not been shortlisted, please don't be discouraged from re-applying for another vacancy – your skills and experience may be just what we need for our next vacancy.

All applicants will be contacted to confirm if they have been shortlisted or not. Successful and unsuccessful interviewees will be contacted as soon as possible after completion of the interviews with the outcome. If you would like feedback on your interview, please contact HR who will be pleased to help you.

Confirmation of an employment offer will only be made following completion of satisfactory employment checks. An employment contract will be issued to you before you start work setting out the terms and conditions of your employment.
