A Message from the Chief Executive

Fareham Borough Council has always been committed to providing excellent services to our local communities.  It is proud of its achievements – with a successful track record of responding to challenges and transforming business processes to deliver better services to our customers.

Nearly 500 people are employed across six departments located mainly in the Civic Offices, the Depot at Broadcut, Wallington and at Ferneham Hall.

We want local people to have confidence that we’re continuously working to improve our performance and provide them with better services.  We take great pride in our achievements and in the fact that others see us as a “nice, friendly and professional organisation”.

We have received complimentary feedback from external inspectors and assessors:-

Our Comprehensive Performance Assessment highlighted that “we are a good council and improving.  Strong leadership, together with effective, committed and focused managers and employees are helping the council to deliver its ambitions and priorities”

The Investors in People Assessor commented that “there is a lively and fully believed commitment to ensuring that employees at all levels and in all roles are given the skills they needed to do their job effectively”

Our last Employee Perception Survey indicated that our employees enjoy what they do!
