After five weeks of action packed fun and games and four Mini play festivals the Play Rangers are getting ready for their final sessions of the summer.
Hundreds of children aged 0-12 have enjoyed the free outdoor play events throughout the school holiday. The themed activities and location have been different each day so children experienced something new with each visit. Next week the final Play Ranger events will be at:
Wednesday, 10.00am - 12.00pm outside Portchester Community Centre & 1.30pm - 3.30pm at Stubbington Recreation Ground.
Friday,10.00am - 12.00pm at Bellfield Play Area in Titchfield & 1.30pm - 3.30pm outside Fareham North West Community Centre.
The scheme delivered by Fareham Borough Council in partnership with Y Services will return with more activities in the Autumn half term. Executive member of Leisure and Community, Cllr Connie Hockley said, "Play Rangers have done a fantastic job this summer bringing free and engaging play opportunities to children across the borough. The feedback from parents has been extremely positive."
All the sessions are free and there is no need to book, Children under 12 can just turn up and join in. Although expert supervision is on hand, children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult and parents remain responsible for their children at all times.
