Fareham Borough Council would like people to vote for their favourite local community projects from groups and organisations who have applied for Youth and Community Roots funding.
Earlier in the year the Council secured £20,000 of 'Have Your Say' funding from Hampshire County Council. Fareham Borough Council invited local groups and organisations who have great project ideas for their neighbourhood to apply for funding of up to £2000.
The Council received many applications and are now asking local residents to pick which projects they would most like to see receive funding. Everyone who votes will be entered into a prize draw with the chance of winning a family of 4 ticket to the opening night of the panto, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Ferneham Hall.
Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Connie Hockley said:" I'm very pleased with the applications that we have received and there are so many great ideas. There are 19 projects overall but unfortunately not everyone can receive funding, so we are asking residents to pick the projects they would most like to see set up in the Borough."
Residents can vote for their 5 most favourite projects online at www.fareham.gov.uk or by visiting Reception at the Civic Offices, Fareham Borough Council between 8:45am – 5:15pm. There will also be a chance to vote in person at Fareham's Christmas Light switch on, in Fareham Town Centre on Sunday 30th November, between 11am and 5pm. Voting will close on Friday 28 November.
