This Sunday Fareham is celebrating the start of Christmas and switching on the Christmas Lights lining West Street.
The fun starts on the Breeze 107 stage (outside Robert Dyas) at 11am. Presenters from the Breeze and a host of talented artists and performers will be on stage and entertaining until 5.15pm. There are 10 different acts scheduled to perform, including Portsmouth Military Wives Choir, Shenanigans Irish Band, and headliners The Scheme.
Costumed characters; Gruffalo and the Mouse will be in between the Fairground rides and stage, meeting and greeting their many fans. Father Christmas is also rumoured to be making an appearance.
The big switch on takes place at 4.30pm when star of television's Art Attack and Ferneham Hall's Pantomime, Lloyd Warbey, will join the mayor of Fareham, Cllr David Norris and Fareham's citizens of honour to switch on the lights and firework display.
