A Government Inspector will today (9 December) open a public inquiry into the refused planning application for housing next to the Navigator Pub at Lower Swanwick.
The planning application for 37 homes submitted by WYG Planning & Environment, was originally rejected by the Council in February. They have appealed against this and the Government Inspector will now decide whether to uphold our original decision. The hearing will take place throughout the rest of this week with a decision likely to be made in the new year.
Chairman of the Planning Committee, Councillor Nick Walker said: "The Inspector will hear representations from the Council, some of the residents who commented on the original application and WYG Planning & Design before making their decision."
