Majestic Meadow Planting at Hillson Drive

Get those green fingers in gear for a free meadow planting workshop at Hillson Drive Open Space, North Fareham on Thursday 9th April at 1pm.

Learn how to create the perfect meadow with a horticulturist and take home some free seeds.

Hugely beneficial to wildlife, meadow style planting has become very popular over recent years with an ever growing number of locations planted in Fareham.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Connie Hockley said: "Wild flower meadows look beautiful and provide a natural habitat for butterflies, bees and other insects. I would encourage residents to participate to get Fareham blooming."

Fareham Borough Council started the Going Wild initiative three years ago, bringing wild flower meadows across the borough.  Various sites which have been sown including:
