Fareham Borough Council is planning to make improvements to the Segensworth and Stubbington Recreation Ground play areas and want to hear what new play equipment and facilities residents would like to see included.
We will be hosting 'Your Park, Your Say' informal consultations at both sites this half term, where you can speak to us about the play area improvements.
No booking is required; just simply turn up on the following dates:
Everyone is welcome to attend and the Council would especially like to hear from children and young people. Fareham's Play Rangers will also be at each play area on the day organising free play area activities.
Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Susan Bell said "It is so important that people get involved to help ensure the new play equipment will meet the needs of the children, young people and families that use the play areas."
If residents are unable to attend either of the consultation events they can still get involved in the play area improvements by completing a questionnaire online. Please visit www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations or residents can request a survey to be sent to them.
The improvements to these play areas are part of a wider programme of play area refurbishments. Other facilities in the Borough will be completely refurbished, including King George V, Birchen Road and Abshot Road play areas.
Twenty other play areas in the Borough will be given 'mini makeovers'. This will include re-painting equipment, improving safety surfacing, reinstating missing items and improving the seating and fencing areas. For a full list of improvements please visit www.fareham.gov.uk.
