Press Release

22 December 2015

An Early Christmas Present!

Stubbington and Segensworth Play Areas are open for play time just in time for Christmas!

Both play areas were refurbished after consultation with park users and local residents. The work was carried out by Wicksteed Leisure Ltd.

Both play areas now benefit from an inclusive roundabout, meaning they are suitable for wheel chair users.  There is also new equipment for toddlers and juniors, and new benches and picnic tables.

Stubbington play area is now equipped with a trampoline and a rope end swing whilst Segensworth play area has its own toddler tree house, and zig zag twisters!

These are the last of six new play areas that have been installed in the Borough in 2015 with another four new play areas schedule for 2016.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Bell says, "It is great that these play areas are now open; I encourage everyone to come along and have fun!"
