Press Release

15 March 2016

Public exhibition and meeting to discuss Hill Head promenade

Fareham Borough Council and their specialist coastal engineers at the East Solent Coastal Partnership will be holding an exhibition and Community Action Team (CAT) meeting about the future of the Hill Head Promenade.

The promenade has recently reopened following emergency works and options to replace the failed sea defences are now being considered.

The exhibition and meeting will take place at Holy Rood Church, Stubbington on Tuesday 29 March. The exhibition will run from 1.00pm to 7.00pm and will be followed by a meeting between 7.00pm and 8:30pm.

Chairman of the CAT Meeting, Councillor Arthur Mandry said, "We understand that some residents are concerned about the longevity of the temporary repairs to the promenade. We would like anyone interested to come along to the exhibition and CAT meeting to have their say and find out more about our plans to keep the promenade open for years to come."
