Press Release

04 April 2016

Sow and Grow with free seeds

Residents can pick up a packet of free wildflower seeds from Fareham Shopping Centre on Saturday 9 April and Monday 11 April from 9:30am – 4pm.

Fareham Shopping Centre has generously funded 5,000 seed packets, which will be handed out by the Fareham in Bloom team and employees from the shopping centre. They will be located at the Council Connect stand which is opposite The Body Shop and Accessorize.

As part of National Gardening Week, there will be a free workshop on Thursday 14 April, at the open space on Stubbington Green at 1pm, so that residents can learn how to sow and grow their seeds. No booking is necessary, just turn up on the day.

Paul Doran, Director of Operations, said "This is a great way to get the community sowing and growing. Don't miss your chance to pick up a packet of free seeds so that you can create your own beautiful gardens. You also have the chance to learn how to sow and grow your seeds at the free workshop on 14th April."

For more information please call the Horticultural Officer on 01329 236 100.
