Press Release

6 May 2016

Bloomin' Good Fun at the Gardeners' Fair

Come along to the Gardeners' Fair on Saturday 14 May! The free event will take place in West Street from 9am-3pm, and will feature a variety of stalls selling gardening goods.

You can also get expert advice from Hambrooks Garden Centre; speak to our Streetscene team about making the most out of the food you buy and learn how to keep wildlife in (or out!) of your garden with the Hampshire & IOW Wildlife Trust.

There will be fun activities for families, including making willow decorations for your garden and children can also decorate their own flowerpot to take home, plus have a go at sand art. There will also be the chance for dog walkers to try their hand at some fun games and win a handy poop bag carrier!

Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Sue Bell, said: "With summer just around the corner, this is a great free event to pick up some useful gardening tips. There will be plenty for children to do too to encourage them to be green fingered, so why not come along and support our local businesses at the same time?"

For further information, please call the Leisure Team on: 01329 824593.
