Fighting Fraud in Fareham

Fareham Borough Council is cracking down on fraud in the Borough and need residents' help to find the fraudsters.

The Council continually carries out proactive work to prevent fraud occurring but also relies on members of the public to report it to them.

In order to ensure that all social housing properties are being lived in and by the correct person the Council are cracking down on Housing Fraud. Things to look out for that may mean housing fraud is being committed are:

Executive Member for Policy and Resources, Cllr Seán Woodward said: "It's really important that we work with residents to catch the fraudsters in Fareham. There are a number of ways that it can be reported, including the Fareham Fraud app, which allows people to discreetly report something from their phone."

Residents can report Fraud by emailing investigations@fareham.gov.uk or corporatefraud@fareham.gov.uk, calling the fraud hotline on 01329 824667, or downloading the Fareham Fraud app on Apple or Android phones.
