Fareham Borough Council is making improvements to the Hollybrook Gardens Play Area in Hollybrook Gardens, Locks Heath and would like to hear from all local residents about what new play equipment and facilities they'd like in the park.
Local residents are invited to an outdoor event at Hollybrook Gardens Play Area on Tuesday 19 April from 2pm to 5.30pm, where the users of the park (youngsters and their parents) and local residents will be encouraged by Fareham's Leisure Team and Play Ranger Service to share their ideas and opinions about the parks improvements. The event is open to everyone, there will be information and displays to look at, a questionnaire to complete, and children and young people can make models and draw pictures showing what new play equipment they'd like to see at the park. Council Officers will also be available should local residents wish to discuss the proposed improvements further. External funding sources have already been identified to enable the improvements to take place.
Executive Member for Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said: "This event is a great opportunity for local residents to have their say about what they'd like to see in Hollybrook Gardens, whilst having some fun in the process."
Copies of the questionnaire have been sent to 200 households close to the park. However any local residents who have not received one and wish to complete a questionnaire about the improvements to the park (and are unable to attend the event on Tuesday 19 April) can request a copy of the questionnaire.
