Imagine Your Goals is a project aimed to improve both physical and mental wellbeing. It gives both young men and women the chance to take part in free football and other physical activities to improve mental health through socialising, sport and interaction with others.
Fareham Borough Council set up the initial project with funding from the Well being Fund working in partnership with the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service.
Pompey Sport & Education Foundation has now taken on the project to ensure sustainability offering weekly regular coaching sessions and some competitive opportunities for all participants involved. The cost to attend the session is free and the group meets every Tuesday from 1.00-2.00pm at Crofton Community Centre (Stubbington). There will also be opportunities to enjoy other social events set up by the club alongside getting fit.
Executive member for Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said:"If you are aged between 18-40 this could be a good chance for you to start feeling the benefits of exercise whilst meeting others with similar interests."
