Press Release

Tuesday 2nd August 2011

Your chance to see what new play areas could look like

Local residents will have the chance to see the design illustrations for the planned three play areas, at Hollybrook Gardens Play Area, Locks Heath; St Michaels Road Play Area, Locks Heath; and Blackbrook Park Play Area in Fareham.

Consultation events were held earlier this year, asking residents and users of the existing parks what they would like in the new play areas. Designs have now been drawn up, illustrating people's ideas and these can be viewed at the following sessions, with the Fareham Play Ranger Service who will also be delivering a free play sessions for children and young people.

Alternatively, if residents can't make the above dates, the designs can be viewed on line www.fareham.gov.uk/communityfacilities or by contacting Emma Watts, Leisure Projects Officer on 01329 236100 ewatts@fareham.gov.uk

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said: "I'm really pleased with the designs as they are a reflection of what the local communities have requested in the play areas"
