On Saturday 17 September an afternoon event is being held on Warsash Common. 'Nature's Hamper' gives the public the chance to find out more about what can be harvested from our countryside, parks and hedgerows.
The two and a half hour event, which starts at 1pm, will teach people about how the bounty of seeds and fruits can be enjoyed and also be used in herbal medicine.
Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said: "The Nature's Hamper event offers a feast of delights as the season comes to its close. I'm sure this will be a very interesting event to be part of."
Tickets cost 4 each and the event is limited to 40 places. To book contact Fareham Tourist Information Centre. Meet at New Road off Fleet End Road. Wear sensible walking shoes and sun protection.
