On Monday 26 September the Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Trevor Cartwright MBE will be hosting a trip to Buckingham Palace to see the Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding dress.
The dress takes centre-stage in the Ballroom at Buckingham Palace during the annual Summer Opening of the Palace, alongside the Cartier ‘Halo’ tiara, lent by the Queen to the Duchess; her wedding shoes, diamond earrings and a replica of the bridal bouquet and the Duke and Duchess’s wedding cake.
The trip includes coach travel from Fareham, entry to the 19 State Rooms at Buckingham Palace and free time in London.
9.00am: Coach leaves from Civic Offices, Fareham
6.00pm: Coach leaves London
The cost is £35 per adult (£25 for children under 17).
The Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Trevor Cartwright MBE, said: "The trip to Buckingham Palace will be wonderful day, and I really hope lots of people can join us. I have been once this year already with a coach full of people, and am running the trip again as it was so popular. It was a truly wonderful sight to see the wedding display, and everyone enjoyed it very much."
The trip is being held in aid of the Mayor's Charities, Toe in the Water, Cystic Fibrosis Trust, and Warsash Wasps SFC.
