On Saturday 22 October the beautiful award winning Sensory Garden is hosting a creative craft event where the public can get hands on and learn some great practical skills.
The fun filled afternoon includes pumpkin carving, willow weaving, making bird feeders for the winter, and decorative ideas for Christmas. The day will also focus on the importance of trees and the tradition of tree dressing where artistic creations will be made and hung in the trees. The public can also write a wish on a copper label and tie it to the wishing tree.
Executive Member for Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said:" This creative event will be a great way to learn new skills and facts and I'm sure it will be a very fun afternoon."
The event will take place at Sensory Garden, Osborn Road, Fareham and will start at 1pm, lasting approximately 2 hours. Tickets cost 5 and are limited to 100 places. Refreshments will be available. Wear warm clothes and stout shoes.
