Press Release

Thursday 20 October 2011

Portchester Community Action Team Meeting

The next Community Action Team (CAT) meeting will be held on Tuesday 25 October 2011, at Portchester Parish Hall, Assheton Court, Castle Street, Portchester. The meeting will start at 7.00pm until 8.30pm.

Executive Leader for Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Se´┐Żn Woodward said: "At this meeting there will be a roundup from the local police and presentations from Insulate Hampshire and the Fire Service as well as brief updates on Portchester Community Centre and Portchester Precinct.

"We would like people to come to CAT meetings and tell us about their local community and how we can work together to make them better."

The meeting will finish with questions from the floor and people will be given the chance to chat with the Chairman and local Councillors.

CAT meetings give residents the chance to discuss any concerns regarding their local community and suggest any ideas they may have to improve their area, as well as bid for Community Funding.

The next CAT meeting for Western Wards will be on Wednesday 26 October at Victory Hall, Warsash.

More information about CATs is available at www.fareham.gov.uk/cats or by emailing: cats@fareham.gov.uk.
