Monday 28 November

Refuse Collection Vehicle Accident

A refuse collection vehicle has overturned on two unoccupied parked cars in Gull Coppice, off Yew Tree Drive, Whiteley, just before 12.30pm today.

Of the three refuse collectors in the vehicle at the time of the accident, two have been taken to hospital. The third refuse collector was uninjured. No other casualties have been reported.

Gull Coppice is currently closed off to allow emergency services to deal with the accident. At the time of this statement they were still onsite.

Police will be investigating the accident.
