St Margaret Mary's Church in Park Gate has been awarded 2,280 to purchase new fencing for the car park side of the church.
Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Sen Woodward, said: "The project will benefit the local community by keeping church users safe, by ensuring that the fence and the church grounds are in a secure condition. It is good that we can help this church as the project will benefit the many local groups who use the building and therefore the wider community."
St Margaret Mary's Church, in Park Gate, has many different community groups using the hall. These include Fun Time Preschool, The Women's Institute, Brownies, dance clubs and the Blind Club.
The parish of St Margaret Mary was formed in 1967 and the current building was built in the mid 70's.
