Fareham Borough Council is launching its Fareham 2012 Olympic Legacy on Tuesday 20 December at Ferneham Hall.
This event is an opportunity for local sports clubs, community and voluntary organisations to get involved and work in partnership with Fareham Borough Council as we celebrate the World's greatest sporting event - the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. Our guest speaker Barry Kitcher, (Hampshire's 2012 Co-ordinator) will deliver a presentation on how you and your clubs and organisations can use the power of the London 2012 Olympic Games to ensure all residents will feel inspired, included and involved locally.
Executive Leader for Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Se�n Woodward, said: "This is an excellent opportunity for the local sports clubs, community and voluntary organisations to come together and help to shape and support Fareham's 2012 Olympic Legacy."
Wenlock the Official London 2012 Mascot will be making a special appearance at this event.
A question and answer session will follow giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions to the special panel of guests which will include Jocelyn Hunt (Commonwealth Silver Medallist -Gymnastics); Peter Hull MBE (Gold Medallist Paralympian - Swimming); David Faulkner (Gold Medallist Olympian - Hockey & England and GB Hockey Performance Director) and Bronwin Carter (Paralympic Coach - GB Athletics).
