Whiteley Rotary Club has received �400 from Fareham Borough Council's community fund to help towards providing all year 6 children at Whiteley and Sarisbury Green Schools with an Usborne 'Dictionary 4 Life'.
Executive Leader for Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Se�n Woodward said:" This grant will help to provided approximately 200 pupils with an Usborne 'Dictionary 4 Life'. The Rotary Club's involvement with this project is now in its fourth year and has been a wonderful success. By using these dictionaries it will help children with their schoolwork in secondary education and could help to improve their vocabulary."
The total cost of the project is �1,400. The rest of the money will be made up by �400 from Hampshire County Council via County Councillor Se�n Woodward, and �600 from Whiteley Rotary Club which has raised the funds following successful fundraising events.
