Success for Fareham's Get Set Schools and College

Twenty three schools from across the Borough of Fareham and Fareham College have successfully registered to join the Get Set Network Schools.

The Get Set Network is a special community of schools and colleges which are, demonstrating a commitment to the Olympic Values (friendship, excellence and respect) and the Paralympic Values (inspiration, determination, courage and equality) and are using the London 2012 Games to inspire learners of all ages to get involved in 'Values' based projects and activities.

Whilst the deadline has now passed for schools and colleges to register to receive free Olympic tickets, it's still important schools register to be able to access free Olympic resources, toolkits and teaching materials.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said:" I'm delighted that over half of Fareham's schools and colleges are now within the Olympic Get Set Network and Fareham Borough Council is looking forward to working with those schools throughout the Olympic year."
