Press Release

Monday 30 January 2012

Fareham launches two new Facebook pages

Fareham Borough Council has launched two new Facebook pages, 'Fareham' and New Community North of Fareham'. Both Facebook pages, as well as the existing 'Fareham Youth Council' page, provide a new and more informal way to communicate and engage with the public, whilst encouraging awareness of Council services.

Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Sen Woodward, said: "With the popularity of Facebook continuing to grow it's important that the Council is communicating with the public through our own 'Fareham' page. We will use it to promote Council services, news and events, as well as it being an informal place to answer questions.

"The 'New Community North of Fareham' (SDA) page has been set up to ensure that as the development progresses, our messages and opportunities for community engagement are seen by the public, and helpful discussions are encouraged."

To view the pages click the following links and like the page to stay up-to-date.
