Warsash Sea Cadets receive funding for new Trinity boat

Warsash Sea Cadets have received £3,222 from Fareham Borough Council's Community Fund to purchase a new Trinity boat.

Warsash Sea Cadets is one of the newest units in the country, based at the Warsash Maritime College. Since its creation it has regularly been involved in local events and has established itself quickly within the community.

Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward said: "The cadets are mainly focused on water based activities and have two ageing Trinity boats to participate in competitions with; however these boats were purchased second hand and they are now in need of replacement. We are pleased that we can help to purchase one of the two boats needed so that the cadets can continue to participate in activities and competitions."

Warsash Sea Cadets will carry out various fundraising events to raise the money to fund the purchase of the second boat.
