Fareham receives prestigious Green Flag Awards

The Sensory Garden and Holly Hill Woodland Park have both retained the prestigious Green Flag Award for the 4th and 5th consecutive years respectively.

The Green Flag award is a national accolade that shows visitors that the park is well maintained and well managed, with excellent facilities; a high quality green space in the Borough of Fareham.

Holly Hill Woodland Park and Sensory Garden are two of a record number of 1424 UK sites receiving a Green Flag Award today.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said: "Congratulations to all those officers and volunteers in Fareham who work so hard to ensure our Borough remains at such a high award winning standard. I am delighted that both of these wonderful parks retain their Green Flags."

All award-winning sites can be found at www.greenflagaward.org.uk. They will be raising their flags throughout the week and celebrating their success during Love Parks Week, which runs from the 21st to the 29th July.
