Fareham Borough Council is teaming up with Insulate Hampshire to provide free rolls of DIY loft insulation to Fareham residents and there is still time to register for the event. Residents can pick up their insulation on Tuesday 30th October between 10.00am – 12.30pm from Fareham College car park, Bishopsfield Road, Fareham.
Residents are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible to avoid missing out on receiving the free top up loft insulation by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or by visiting www.insulatehampshire.co.uk. Please note your address must be within Fareham.
The last 6 months has seen 14 events like this across the county and 5071 rolls have now been distributed, enough to cover ten football pitches.
Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward said:" Insulate Hampshire is an excellent scheme that saves residents money on their fuel bills. I would encourage as many people as possible to sign up to receive their free rolls of DIY loft insulation which could help to save £50 a year and will provide a more comfortable home."
Due to the success of the Community DIY project, a total of 569 Hampshire residents will be able to enjoy a more comfortable home, experiencing a warmer home in the winter and a cooler home throughout warmer summer months.
