Fareham Borough Councils has granted £4,999 to Locks Heath Football Club for the purchase of two portable dugouts through the Community Funding programme.
The new dugouts which provide shelter for players can be wheeled away at night, reducing the chances of them being vandalised.
Executive Leader for Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward said that "Locks Heath football club run teams for all ages and are an integral part of the community, this use of the Community Fund will benefit their players by helping to make sure that they have a good standard of equipment that lasts".
The Community Fund is available to support projects that benefit the local community or environment within the Borough of Fareham. Any resident, or organisation based in the Borough can apply for money for one off purchases from the Community Fund.
