Fareham Town residents will learn the results of the Fareham Park Purse, a project to distribute £17,500 between community groups, at a CAT Meeting on Thursday 24th October at Henry Cort Community College between 7.00 - 8.30pm.
This funding was allocated to applicants with an idea, or existing project that benefits the Fareham Park neighbourhood. Local residents were involved in deciding which groups would receive funding by voting online and at a special fun day where the applicant groups pitched their projects to over 500 people. During the CAT meeting on Thursday, the groups with the most votes will present how they plan to spend the grant and make a difference to Fareham Park.
Residents will also have the opportunity to hear an update from local police, a review of recent bids for CAT funding, a presentation about local health services from the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), and the chance to raise questions and speak with their local councillors.
Chairman of the Fareham Town CAT team, Councillor Trevor Howard said "I look forward to hearing about the positive difference the Fareham Park Purse funding will make to Fareham Town. I would encourage anyone who is interested in hearing more about community funding or local services to attend this meeting."
