D-Day 75 at Daedalus

Saturday 8 June, 10am-5pm, and
Sunday 9 June, 10am-4pm

Plans are underway for a weekend of festivities with music, fun activities, and planes to commemorate 75 years since the D-Day landings.

HMS Daedalus was the busiest airfield in the UK on D-Day with more than 400 units deployed so it will be a very special place from which to commemorate this important event.

Much of the finer detail of the event is still being finalised but visitors can expect a static aircraft display, children's activities, fun fair rides, stage and arena performances, food stalls, gift and community stalls, vintage cars and more!

Watch this space for updates including details of flying aircraft!

Sponsorship

D-Day 75 at Daedalus will pay tribute to the site's historic significance and fittingly there are plans to incorporate a number of exciting displays and activities. Sponsorship of some or all of these activities will enable the Council to offer a bigger and better event for the enjoyment of the whole community.  There are a number of packages available to suit a variety of budgets.

If you are interested in sponsoring part of the event please email leisure@fareham.gov.uk for further information
