Plans are underway for a weekend of festivities with music, fun activities, and planes to commemorate 75 years since the D-Day landings.
HMS Daedalus was the busiest airfield in the UK on D-Day with more than 400 units deployed so it will be a very special place from which to commemorate this important event.
Much of the finer detail of the event is still being finalised but visitors can expect a static aircraft display, children's activities, fun fair rides, stage and arena performances, food stalls, gift and community stalls, vintage cars and more!

Please note: Food concessions are now fully booked and we will not be taking any more applications to sell food or drink at the event.
We are also no longer taking any booking for performances.
D-Day 75 at Daedalus will pay tribute to the site's historic significance and fittingly there are plans to incorporate a number of exciting displays and activities. Sponsorship of some or all of these activities will enable the Council to offer a bigger and better event for the enjoyment of the whole community. There are a number of packages available to suit a variety of budgets.

Ticket details will be announced shortly.
There will be a range of different ticket options such as an all-inclusive child and family ticket which will entitle children to take part in all the activities and rides for free once the ticket is purchased.
All children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please be aware that onsite parking will be limited and subject to advance booking. We would encourage you to walk, cycle, or use public transport where possible. If you do need to drive, please car share where possible.
Parking permits will be provided on request when booking tickets at no extra charge and a pass will be provided with your ticket. One parking permit per 4 tickets.
If you are a blue badge holder please request a disabled parking space when booking your tickets.
Parking if offered on a first come first served basis. Please keep your permit safe as we are unable to re-issue any parking permits.
