Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Where can I find my local play area?

You can see details of the 46 play areas and 5 skate parks across Borough on this map.

How do you report that equipment in the play area has been vandalised?

Although we inspect the equipment regularly, there may be times you wish to report things that have been damaged. You can report it online using the report a problem form or email customerservicecentre@fareham.gov.uk or call 01329 236100.

There is broken glass in the play area – can this be removed?

We visit play areas at least twice a week to clean them. You can report any issues online on our report a problem form or by emailing customerservicecentre@fareham.gov.uk or by calling 01329 236100.

How often is play equipment inspected?

Equipment is checked by qualified inspectors at least each week to ensure it is functional, secure and safe.  In addition, we visit all play areas at least twice a week to carry out appropriate cleaning, including litter collection.  During periods of heavy use, such as school holidays, some sites are visited five times a week.

What play equipment is featured on site?

All play areas have a variety of fixed equipment suitable for children of different ages and abilities. You can see more details by visiting play areas and skate parks.
