With responsibility for a £3m budget, the team delivers a variety of projects, from inception through to completion, by means of competitive tendering methods.

The successful candidate must have an ONC (or similar) qualification in building related discipline; have experience of negotiating and managing small and medium sized projects and have demonstrable experience of using electronic information and management systems to support the effective operation of the service. They must also have a reasonable understanding of JCT contracts and contract supervision, planning and building regulations, CDM regulations and other health and safety legislation.

Your responsibilities will include the preparation of tender documentation, pre and post inspections, supervision of contractors and collection of stock condition data.  

You will join a team providing an efficient and effective planned maintenance service, involved in the procurement of building related works to the Council's building portfolio, ensuring the use of modern procurement principles.

You must have good communication and customer care skills as well as a full current driving licence. Out of Hours working (on a rota basis) will be required, including some weekends and evenings.]]></description></item></channel>
