Information about the Walks

  • All the walks are led by trained volunteers
  • The walks take place on different days / times
  • The walks cover various distances are are graded for different abilities
  • The walks are for people of all ages
  • Only Guide dogs and Hearing dogs allowed on walks, unless otherwise mentioned in walk programme.

Why Walk?

  • It's a chance to meet new people and make friends
  • It improves your health
  • You do not need any special equipment - just comfortable walking shoes
  • Almost everyone can do it
  • There's very little risk of injury
  • It doesn't hurt
  • You can start up slowly and build up gently
