Fareham Farmers' Market

There will be a Farmers’ Market in Fareham’s West Street from 9am to 2pm on Saturday 1
February 2014, so you can make sure that you are fully stocked with good local food for the
weekend.

Up to 40 local producers will be selling the best of their produce directly to customers - everything
from freshly picked organic fruit and vegetables to free range eggs, from fish from local waters to
rare breed meats, from home-baked bread and cakes to the honey made from local bees.

Sample before you buy from the people who actually produce, and taste the difference in quality
whilst supporting your local farming and rural community.

Eileen''s has over 30 years experience, so she has a very good understanding of thinking outside the box and doing things differently! She has been Office Manager, IT Manager, Project Manager and Director of Operations, mainly in the Financial and Legal environment, so has a very good background of how businesses and business processes work.

We are delighted to have guest speaker Bev Hurley at our meeting. A dynamic serial entrepreneur, mentor, angel investor and one of the UK’s leading authorities on female entrepreneurship, Bev Hurley has spent more than 30 years building successful businesses of all sizes – and sharing her expertise to create and grow hundreds of others.

We are also proud to have Mayor Councillor Susan Bayford and her consort, Councillor Brian Bayford attend the launch of the Fareham Business Club. Susan served in the Women''s Royal Naval Service, training at HMS Mercury and was then posted to HMS President where she served in the communications centre at Whitehall Wireless. She has been actively involved in local politics since the 1970''s, an interest that she shares with her husband, Brian who represents the Park Gate Ward. During her Mayoral year, she will be serving on Fareham Borough Council''s Licensing and Regulatory Committee and Public Protection Committee.

The Will Pound Band is the brain child of Harmonica wizard Will Pound. Recognised as one of the best harmonica players on the planet, Will has some of the UK folk scenes leading instrumentalists join him in creating a unique sound that draws on many aspects of traditional music from around the world. The WPB explore Irish, Scottish, English and Appalachian music during a typical set combining this with shades of the Blues, Bluegrass and Jazz to create a sound that is both steeped in tradition and progressive in its approach.

Joining Will on The New Tradition Tour are Henry Webster – Fiddle, John Parker – Double Bass and beat-boxing and Chris Sarjeant – Guitars and Vocals.
