Housing Options Officer

We are looking for someone with previous housing experience and excellent communication skills to join our busy Housing Options team at Fareham Borough Council. Within this fast paced and varied role you will work as part of a team to provide a drop in service to our customers, focussing on:
- Preventing homelessness
- Providing comprehensive advice on a range of housing issues
- Assessing the local authority's homeless duty toward customers
We want someone who is proactive and has previous experience in managing work within a pressurised and emotionally demanding environment. You need to be passionate about doing the right thing for our customers, you should also be caring, patient and empathetic.
Ideally you will also have some experience of the current homeless legislation. You must also be flexible, both as a team player and when responding to and resolving customer problems.
