The Gambling Act 2005 requires the Council to publish and review a Statement of Principles (SOP) in relation to its duties under the Act and to guide its work. The SOP must be reviewed every three years.
The current Statement is now due for review. Having reviewed the document the Council is consulting to seek the views of those who may be affected by or have an interest in it.
The Council asked for comments on the proposed policy.
There were two responses received by organisations for this consultation.
Having considered the revised Gambling Policy, the Executive recommended it to Council for adoption.
