Business Support Officer (Welborne)
24 hours per week 3 - 4 days a week (Local Grade 4)

Would you like a new challenge and to support the delivery of Welborne Garden Village?

You’ll be responsible for providing administrative and technical support and facilitating progress on the delivery of Welborne. You’ll support key Senior Managers, Councillors and external partners in their joint working.

You’ll be responsible for answering customer enquiries, co-ordinating meetings, managing diaries, arranging member briefings and co-ordinating the preparation and approval of committee reports.

You’ll also assist by providing financial and contract administrative support for Welborne activities.

You’ll provide technical support and undertake research in relation to funding and other new communities and garden villages.

We need someone with excellent communication skills who is able to deal good naturedly and sensitively with Councillors, Senior Managers and external partners, anticipating their needs and juggling many demands.

You’ll need excellent administration and ICT skills along with a customer orientated approach and the ability to manage a demanding and varied workload.

You will need to be able to work well under pressure and have a professional image and attitude, as well as being polite and discreet. Flexibility and the ability to work without close supervision will be vital.

Administrator & Technical Officer (Full Time)

We are looking for an individual to provide excellent support within our Planning Strategy and Regeneration team within this forward-thinking Council.

You will support the team in the development and implementation of the Local Plan, as well as facilitating development and regeneration projects. This makes it a varied and interesting role.

You could be researching new areas of policy work for the team, helping to respond to enquiries from customers and councillors, or organising consultation events and exhibitions. You must be able to prioritise, meet deadlines and work without close supervision.

Of course, good IT skills and experience in a range of administrative and technical tasks, together with the all-important “can do” attitude, are essential.

We are a small Borough with a big range of projects.
