Fareham Borough Council is working in partnership with Hampshire County Council to help residents see if they can get a better deal on their gas and/or electricity bills by signing up to the Switch Hampshire scheme.
Registration is free, simply sign up at www.hants.gov.uk/switch or call 01962 846828. You will need to know your current tariff for gas and/or electricity and how much energy you have used over the past year either in £s or kWhs. Registration closes on 17th February and you will then be contacted with details of how much you could save. There is no obligation to switch supplier but if you do decide to take up the offer the switching process will be managed for you.
Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward, said: "Switch Hampshire is an excellent scheme that could provide residents with cheaper energy and has the potential to benefit those on low incomes, the elderly and families in fuel poverty. I recommend residents in Fareham register to Switch Hampshire and find out what energy savings they could benefit from".
