Fareham Borough Council is starting a project to improve the leisure facilities and outdoor space at Park Lane Recreation Ground, Fareham.
These improvements include:
We would like all local residents to get involved, comment and make suggestions on the proposed improvements and this can be done by coming along to a special consultation event being held on Saturday 14 June from 11.00-2.00pm at Fareham Leisure Centre. There will be the opportunity to look at and comment on designs and information boards and talk to officers from Fareham Borough Council about the project in more detail. Alternatively, if residents can't make that date, there are other ways to get involved and keep informed, including; visiting www.fareham.gov.uk/parklanevision or by liking Fareham Borough Council's Facebook page where there are regular updates.
Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Connie Hockley, said: "This is a really exciting project that the Council is committed to. I'd urge residents to get involved and give us their views on making Park Lane Recreation Ground a better place for everyone."
The project will be carried out over the next 5 years, with the first phase of improvements, the children's play area, and skate park and gym equipment, being built from September 2014.
