Fareham Borough Council is asking for comments on its draft Design Guidance Supplimentray Planning Document (SPD) (excluding Welborne) by Monday 19 October.
The guide outlines what we consider good design and what we expect from developments such as extentions, new houses, new flats and shops in Fareham. The guidance supplements the Council's Local Plan and will provide a useful tool against which planning applications will be assessed.
You can view and comment on the Design Guidance online at www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations. Paper copies of the consultation documents can also be viewed at the Civic Office's Planning Reception and all libraries in the Borough. Comments can also be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org or by post to Planning Strategy & Regeneration, Fareham Borough Council, Civic Offices, Civic Way, Fareham, PO16 7AZ.
Councillor Keith Evans, Executive Member for Planning and Development, said "This is a key element in the development application process and we have endeavoured to make this design guide an understandable and usable document for both individual residents and for professional developers. We welcome comments to be submitted by Monday 19 October."
