On Saturday 17 December the band of the Hampshire Constabulary will be holding a concert in aid of The Mayor of Fareham's Charities. The concert will take place at Holy Rood Church, Stubbington at 7.30pm.
The Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Trevor Cartwright MBE said: "The military style concert band is internationally known, and I am delighted that they have agreed to perform to raise money for my three charities; Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Toe in the Water and Warsash Wasps SFC. I hope that lots of people come along to what is sure to be a fantastic night!"
The Band of the Hampshire Constabulary was started over 110 years ago, and is based at the Police Training Headquarters at Netley, Southampton. Its members are made up of serving and retired staff of the Force, both police, support and family members. The Band performs internationally, and is known for its community concerts in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, raising thousands of pounds for charity.
