Fareham Borough Council will be launching its new information point, ‘Council Connect’ in Fareham Shopping Centre on Wednesday, 22 February at 9am.
Council Connect will be a permanent, free interactive information point located between the Body Shop and Accesssorize. It will be used for providing information about the Council's services, promoting Council activities, and publicising events organised by the Council. Council Connect will also be a place where people can have their say, and will be used for consulting residents and visitors to the Borough.
It features two screens that will give the public free, direct access to Fareham Borough Council and Ferneham Hall websites. There is also a free telephone that is connected to the Council’s Customer Services Centre (available Mon - Fri 8.45am to 5.15pm). Two other large screens will highlight services provided by the Council.
Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward, who will be at the launch at 10am said: "We are always looking for new ways to talk to and advise our customers about the services the Council provides, and hope that Council Connect will provide another opportunity to do this, in a convenient way. Council Connect is a free, interactive information point that we hope local people will use to communicate with the Council. Fareham Borough Council employees will be there throughout the launch day, and we encourage members of the public to visit us and see what it's all about.”
