Fareham Borough Council is asking residents to comment on the draft Character Appraisal and Management Strategy for Titchfield Conservation Area, in a consultation running from Monday 29 October until Friday 23rd November.
The Character Appraisal identifies the features that contribute to the architectural and historic interest of the conservation area, and the Management Strategy explains how the council will conserve its character and appearance.
Councillor Keith Evans, Executive Member for Strategic Planning and Environment, said: "The consultation is an excellent way for local residents to express their views on the how best to conserve the character of Titchfield. Once agreed, the council will use the Character Appraisal and Management Strategy to guide planning policy and decision making to preserve the character and appearance of the conservation area."
Details of the consultation can be found on the Council website at www.fareham.gov.uk/consultation where a copy of the document can be downloaded and you can complete an online comments form. You can also visit the Titchfield Community Centre (Opening Times: Monday to Thursday 9:00am-11:00pm, Friday 9:00-12:00am, Saturday 9:00-13:00pm) from the 29 October to see a visual display, where you can pick up a copy of the document along with a paper comment sheet.
