Due to the high level of interest Fareham Borough Council have organised three public exhibitions where people can find out more about and comment on the planning application submitted on behalf of IB Vogt for a new solar farm on land between Fareham and Stubbington.
The exhibitions will provide details about where the proposed solar farm could go, how big it would be and issues the Council will have to consider when assessing the application. The exhibitions are being held on:
Monday 10 December 12.30pm – 7.00pm Crofton Community Centre (Main Hall), Stubbington Lane, Stubbington, PO14 2PP
Tuesday 11 December 12.30pm - 7.30pm Fareham College (Function Room), Bishopsfield Road, Fareham, PO14 1NH
Thursday 13 December 12.30pm – 4.30pm Stubbington Methodist Church, Mays Lane, Stubbington, PO14 2ER
The planning application proposes solar panels and associated equipment, security fencing, landscaping, and two transformer buildings on 58 hectares (143 acres) of land, along with the provision of community green space for recreational use.
Councillor Nick Walker, Chairman of the Planning Committee, said: "These public events give people an opportunity to find out more about the plans. I would urge anyone who would like to comment on the planning application and make their views known to take this opportunity to do so."
