Refunds will be made to those who purchased tickets to the Schools Prom which was due to take place last Friday 18th January 2013.
Due to adverse weather conditions, the annual Charity Schools Prom presented by the Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Dennis Steadman was cancelled due to the closure of Ferneham Hall.
The annual event starring several local Fareham schools celebrates the musical talents of the youth of Fareham and is in aid of the Mayor of Fareham’s chosen charity, Wessex Heartbeat.
As it is confirmed that none of the schools can make alternative dates, refunds will be made by calling in at Fernham Hall.
Regarding the disappointment of the prom, Councillor Dennis Steadman said, “Due to weather conditions, we are deeply sorry that the annual Charity Schools Prom could not go ahead on Friday. We know how much hard work the schools have put in to making it a great show and I hope the event will take place again next year.”
Fareham residents are advised to look for updates on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages for latest information on the weather and what’s happening in the Borough.
