Fareham Borough Council is inviting residents to come along to Portchester Community Centre on Friday 14 June, between 2pm and 9pm, and tell us if they would like a new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) next to the Centre, and if so what sports they would wish to see included
The MUGA would go on the land covered by the former community centre at Portchester Park. It could give residents a place to play tennis, football, basketball, netball and other ball games within a fenced area. Residents will have the chance to look at the projected images of how changes to the area could look. They will also have the opportunity to talk through the proposals with Council officers.
Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Connie Hockley said: "The information people provide us with will be invaluable in helping us identify the needs of local residents. We will look at the responses to find out if residents want a Multi-Use Games Area, or if they would prefer to have the whole area landscaped."
You can also have your say using an online questionnaire at www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations The closing date for responses is Friday 21 June 2013.
If you would like further details, or a paper copy of the questionnaire, please contact Janine Hensman, Leisure Projects Officer, on 01329 824593 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
