Engage the senses this Thursday at 6.30pm with a guided walk in Fareham's award winning Sensory Garden. An experienced horticulturist will highlight the unique fragrance and textures of the exotic botanical collection situated on Osborne Road in Fareham town centre.
The serene journey through the garden should last around 2 hours. To keep the group small places are limited. Tickets cost £4 and can be purchased from Fareham Tourist Information Centre. The price includes tea and cakes and all participants will receive their own Fuchsia plant to take home courtesy of St. Margret's Nurseries.
Executive member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said: "Usually the short walk through the garden is self-guided with the aid of a guide book or audio guide, but this special event further enhances the sensory experience as visitors will be accompanied by a horticulturist with specialist knowledge of this semitropical sanctuary. The Sensory Garden has just retained its prestigious Green Flag Award for the 5th year running and is definitely worth a visit".
